What is this?

The Church is Alive project stems from an idea that the Church is more than what some currently believe. We have heard the worries and anxieties that say that our church is "dying" or "already dead", but instead we believe that the church is alive, vibrant, and a powerful force for good in the world. We believe that the Holy Spirit is breathing new life into all corners of our denomination, and that our body of believers is rich with stories of giving back, exploring fresh approaches to community, and discovering new ways to worship God.

So what does this have to do with a website?

In order to capture how the church is alive, we thought it best to go to the source: YOU! We are asking you to submit your own videos and articles of how you think the church is alive. This could be examples of service projects, new forms of worship, new attempts at community, or other ways you are bringing life and vibrancy into the church. We only ask that you keep videos to about a minute and a half in length. Once we receive these submissions, we will select some to exhibit on this website, along with a brief description of the project and the people involved.

How do I submit a video or article?

It’s a lot easier than you think. Our site exhibits videos uploaded to Youtube, Vimeo, or Veoh, so all you have to do is send us the link! Check out our submission page for more info on how to submit.

I want to be more than just a submitter!

Awesome! If you'd like to be a writer (like those wonderful people to the right) and write regular posts, encourage participation, and be a general all-around awesome person, send Jack an email!
Who are you?

Good question! The Church is Alive website was conceived and produced by a small group of passionate Christians from all over the country. While we all call the PC(USA) denomination home, we are not officially tied to any denomination or group. This site is a volunteer effort, if you'd like to contribute, let us know!
